What we process
To run a download and keep the service working, TubeFetch processes:
- The YouTube URLs you submit, in order to read available formats and prepare a file.
- Basic technical data such as your IP address, used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- Temporary output files created during conversion, eligible for deletion after roughly 1 hour(s) and removed when cleanup next runs.
What we do not do
There are no accounts or user profiles. TubeFetch does not sell personal information or run advertising or tracking pixels. Temporary job records are retained for processing and cleanup; there is no user-facing download history.
How it is used
The data above is used only to:
- Provide the conversion and download you asked for.
- Protect the service from overload and misuse.
- Diagnose errors and improve reliability.
Storage and retention
Converted files and job records are written to temporary server storage. Completed and failed jobs become eligible for deletion after roughly 1 hour(s); cleanup runs during web or worker activity and may be delayed while the service is inactive or a file is in use. Rate-limit files contain the request IP in the filename and recent request timestamps. Old timestamps stop counting toward the limit, but these files are not currently removed by automatic cleanup.
Cookies and local storage
TubeFetch sets one cookie to remember your language, and uses browser local storage to remember your light or dark theme. Both are conveniences; neither is used for advertising or shared with anyone.
Third parties
When you submit a link, the server contacts YouTube (and related CDNs) to read the available formats. Web fonts are served by Google Fonts. Your hosting provider and CDN may keep standard server logs.
